As someone from the "global south" (who doesn't believe in white guilt), I ask you, who directs or constructs this discourse and propaganda about multiculturalism and the end of the white West? Are we the ones who live on the other side of the street? Is it the Chinese? Is it the Blacks? Is it the Arabs? Or, saddest of all, is it the whites themselves? Who is the elephant in the room?
I've been reflecting on this a lot. I think Langan does a good job of explaining the current situation in terms of dueling singularities, human and technological, but its kind of cumbersome. Another framework that can be applied is the contrast between finite and infinite games. Basically the banking elite and public-private partnerships that benefit from the international fiat monetary system are playing a coordinated infinite game to maintain that system. From this perspective Langan's tech singularity is being pursued by this elite because they sense that it is doomed to collapse without the deus ex machina of exponential technological progress. In the meantime, though, the proximal threat to the system aside from collapse is right wing populism, especially in the anglosphere and Europe. Cohesive and coherent White identity has the potential to facilitate coordinated strategic efforts to supplant the existing system, so, whether consciously or unconsciously the elite and their beneficiaries seek to ensure this identity can't be developed/restored.
It is most apparent in the national security strategies of these nations, which are totally incoherent talking about climate change and human rights while aggressively suppressing freedom of expression domestically. If you want to consider a psychological model for this look at Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir. He's convinced that RW populists coming to power would result in his death, which is a kind of confession through projection in my opinion. He's selling technological "solutions" to this development to Western nations. He brags about helping this governments subvert the popular will of their respective peoples without any sense of irony. These people are victims of the propaganda just as much as they're purveyors of it. I really think there's just a class of people who can make money from nothing and can't conceive of stopping voluntarily nor allowing people with the competence/capacity to hold them accountable coalesce into an effective consolidated political force. I think they perceive White identity seems like the only thing that can realistically challenge them, so all efforts conscious or subconscious will be directed to prevent its ascendance.

To expand on a subpoint you also started, purveyors of propaganda are not immune from believing their own material over time--long ago a congressional information officer I know advised his successor the trick was not to start to believe your own agitprop. Unfortunately, that's apparently far easier said than done--Karp whom you referenced is a good example of that phenomenon. I think over time we will win but dogged fanaticism will make that a difficult and painful victory because it is just as much belief as profit that compel Karp and his cohorts to fashion "solutions."
